STAR**** **OOP**S: A Surreal Space Poetry Project – Page 27

Thanks to Teg for the image wrangling!

Carmen.
Carmen wasn’t anybody’s girl.

She treated us equal and
impersonally.

But, I knew her. She often
came over.

Mother considered good.
She was right.

She never gossiped.
She kept her own affairs right.

Small and neat
Perfect health.

Perfect.

She was a wonder!
You just never thought about

Her.

The anti-manic, pixie, dream girl. Saint, virgin, crone, who? Your neighbor, your friend, sexless, ideal?

Would rather be out swimming, running, or camping. Works in state government. Spent a youth reading genre-fiction; today, he is making up for it by reading large quantities of non-fiction literature. The fact that truth, in every way, is more fascinating than fiction still tickles him.
